Plano East<\/a> had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn’t miss a beat now that it’s playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Lake Highlands Wildcats<\/a> on Tuesday. The Panthers haven’t had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.<\/p>\n

Plano East wouldn’t go down easily and took Lake Highlands into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-13, 25-22, 23-25, 15-12.<\/p>\n

Lake Highlands lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Carrigan Anderly<\/a>, who had 34 assists and 19 digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 16 times she’s played. Brylie Woodbury<\/a> was another key player, getting 25 digs and three assists.<\/p>\n

Plano East’s victory bumped their record up to 30-10. As for Lake Highlands, their loss dropped their record down to 28-9.<\/p>\n
