Paramount+ released the official trailer<\/a> for the Taylor Sheridan-created series<\/a> on Thursday ahead of its season premiere on Sunday, Aug. 2. The espionage thriller follows CIA operative Joe (Zoe Salda\u00f1a) as she balances her \u201cpersonal and professional lives as the tip of the spear in the agency\u2019s war on terror.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cLioness\u201d spent several months in Fort Worth<\/a> and across North Texas filming scenes from October 2025 to March 2026.<\/p>\n Check out the trailer below.<\/p>\n What\u2019s new in \u2018Lioness\u2019 season 3?<\/p>\n Much of the \u201cLioness\u201d cast from the first two seasons are back for season 3.<\/p>\n In addition to Salda\u00f1a, \u201cLioness\u201d stars Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Kelly, Laysla De Oliveira, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Genesis Rodriguez, Austin H\u00e9bert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill, Hannah Love Lanier and \u201cYellowstone\u201d alum Ian Bohen<\/a>.<\/p>\n If the new trailer (and synopsis below) are any indication, things are not looking good for Salda\u00f1a\u2019s crew heading into season 3.<\/p>\n \u201cHidden networks, foreign operatives, and personal betrayals collide.
