COMAL COUNTY, Texas \u2014 Texas Water Company has issued a boil water notice for customers served by its Canyon Lake Shores Treatment Plant following severe flooding along the Guadalupe River.<\/p>\n

According to the utility, flooding caused a significant influx of debris and sediment into Canyon Lake, resulting in elevated turbidity levels at the plant’s water intake. The company said the boil water notice was issued in accordance with state regulatory requirements to protect public health.<\/p>\n

The notice will remain in effect while crews work to reduce sediment levels and ensure the water meets all applicable state drinking water safety standards. Texas Water Company said treatment operations are being continuously monitored and corrective actions are underway to restore normal conditions.<\/p>\n
