{"id":376392,"date":"2026-07-17T03:25:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-17T03:25:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/376392\/"},"modified":"2026-07-17T03:25:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-17T03:25:08","slug":"fort-worth-man-arrested-in-azle-killings-of-wife-mother-in-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/376392\/","title":{"rendered":"Fort Worth man arrested in Azle killings of wife, mother-in-law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/fort-worth\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Fort Worth <\/a>man was arrested Thursday after<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/crime\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> police<\/a> found his wife and mother-in-law fatally shot inside an Azle home, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Azle police and firefighters were dispatched about 9:30 a.m. to a report of a suspicious situation in the 200 block of Stewart Bend Court, northwest of Fort Worth.<\/p>\n<p>Officers entered the home to check on the occupants and found two adult women <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/crime\/article\/person-stabbed-fort-worth-dies-man-now-faces-22322542.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">dead<\/a> from apparent gunshot wounds, according to the Azle Police Department. Police described the victims as a mother and daughter but did not release their names.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators identified Joseph Gordon of Fort Worth as the suspect using evidence collected at the home and information from automated license plate-reading cameras, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Texas Rangers took Gordon into custody.
