Described as an artistic high point for the already blockbuster career of Christopher Nolan, The Odyssey is cooking up to be the movie event of the year. <\/p>\n<p>As you might be aware, The Odyssey is the first feature film in history to be shot entirely on IMAX cameras \u2013 using approximately 2 million feet of IMAX film. If you want to witness the film in all its immensity \u2013\u00a0that which captures its sprawling environments, large\u2011scale sea journeys, and massive set pieces \u2013 it is ideal to do so on a 70mm IMAX screen. <\/p>\n<p>Technically speaking, IMAX 70mm film captures far more visual information than standard 35mm or typical digital formats; IMAX and 60 Minutes report that the image quality can be up to three times higher than modern digital projection.<\/p>\n<p>This immense clarity is showcased in the towering 1.43:1 IMAX film aspect ratio\u2014a very tall frame that can make the borders of the screen seem to disappear and reveal more of the image vertically than conventional 35mm\u2011style widescreen presentations.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunate for us in Dallas, the city is home to one of just 25 true 70mm IMAX experiences in the entire country. Located at 11819 Webb Chapel Road, the Cinemark Dallas XD and IMAX (historically referred to as Cinemark 17) is one of the few theaters in the country equipped to project movies on actual 70mm IMAX film reels rather than relying solely on digital projection.<\/p>\n<p>You can find tickets to The Odyssey at Cinemark Dallas XD through its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cinemark.com\/movies\/the-odyssey\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/www.cinemark.com\/movies\/the-odyssey\" data-action=\"text_cta_0\" data-category=\"click_non_sales\">website here<\/a>.
