Looking for new digs in Fort Worth\u2019s Near Southside? Take a look inside The Vickery Apartments, a new offering in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n

Developed by Fort Worth-based Trademark Property Co., The Vickery is nestled on West Vickery Boulevard at Hemphill Street, in the fast-growing neighborhood south of downtown.<\/p>\n

The site, previously a drainage area, is now home to 321 apartments and townhomes, plus a restaurant.<\/p>\n

The project began in 2019, according to Philip Welch, vice president of multifamily and mixed use properties for Trademark. It is a redevelopment of a \u201cbrownfield\u201d site that was previously used for drainage.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe saw it as a wonderful opportunity to better the neighborhood and as a great place to put our first flag in the ground, if you will,\u201d Welch said from The Vickery\u2019s spacious lobby, covered in gold and brown hues, an Ella Langley song quietly streaming from a speaker somewhere hidden. \u201cFort Worth is home. That\u2019s our backyard, and how we approach development is we want to do development that\u2019s not just good monetarily, but it\u2019s good for the community.\u201d<\/p>\n

The development is filled with small Texan touches, like the original Vickery Boulevard bricks that were used in the lobby entryway.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole thought process with how the building looks from an architectural and aesthetic standpoint on the outside was to not be so much different from what was originally here,\u201d Welch said.<\/p>\n

Fort Worth established a special tax district to improve sidewalks, lighting, public parks, and other public infrastructure in the area, Welch said. Three public spaces were established around the apartments.<\/p>\n

Trademark is also the developer of Fort Worth\u2019s Alliance Town Center, Left Bank and Westbend shops.<\/p>\n

The Vickery apartments contain 307 apartment homes and 14 townhomes, consisting of one, two, and three-bedroom units with high ceilings and large windows. Residents have access to a rooftop lounge, a fitness center, coworking spaces.<\/p>\n

The public spaces in the complex are filled with public art commissioned for the development, Welch said, meant to give those areas a personal touch.<\/p>\n

Units start at roughly $1,500. The complex is pet-friendly.<\/p>\n

The apartments have been leasing since late 2025<\/a>, but a grand opening was held recently to commemorate the opening of the development.<\/p>\n
