The two men killed in an apparent boating accident in east Fort Worth on Wednesday, July 15, have been identified as grandfather and grandson.<\/p>\n

The two men killed in an apparent boating accident Wednesday<\/a> in east Fort Worth have been identified.<\/p>\n

Michael Lloyd Sanders, 64, and Terrance Terrell Sanders, 20, were found dead in a pond on private property in the 3100 block of Cooks Lane. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner<\/a> hasn\u2019t yet released the cause and manner of their deaths.<\/p>\n

Public social media posts identify the pair as grandfather and grandson.<\/p>\n

Fort Worth fire crews were dispatched to the location at 11:24 a.m. and arrived four minutes later, according to department spokesperson Craig Trojacek. A small, flat-bottomed boat had overturned.<\/p>\n

The first responders found the men and pulled them out of the water. Despite emergency medical care, the two were pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Police said at the time that it wasn\u2019t clear what factors led up to the accident.<\/p>\n
