<\/p>\nCorpus Christi, TX, USA \u2013\u00a0The Port of Corpus Christi has named Yudi Takizawa Chief Commercial Officer, effective July 13, 2026, as part of a strategic organizational realignment that strengthens the Port\u2019s focus on commercial growth, customer engagement and long-term value creation.<\/p>\n
The appointment also allows for greater specialization across the Port\u2019s executive leadership team. For the past six years, business development activities have operated under the leadership of Chief External Affairs Officer Omar Garcia, who successfully balanced responsibility for both commercial development and external affairs while helping drive business growth and stakeholder engagement.<\/p>\n
Garcia will continue serving as Chief External Affairs Officer, overseeing Strategic Communications, Marketing, Branding, Community Affairs and Government Relations. He also will establish a new International Business Development Department focused on expanding global opportunities, strengthening relationships with consulates and key trading partners, and overseeing the Port\u2019s Foreign Trade Zone and Congressman Solomon P. Ortiz International Center.<\/p>\n
In this newly created executive role, Takizawa will lead the Port\u2019s Commercial and Business Development, Real Estate, Business Intelligence and Commercial Logistics & Transportation functions, bringing key customer-facing operations together under a unified commercial organization.<\/p>\n

Most recently, Takizawa served as the Port\u2019s Director of Commercial and Business Development, where he played a key role in advancing strategic partnerships, cultivating new business opportunities and supporting growth across the Port\u2019s commercial portfolio. Since joining the Port in 2022, he has leveraged more than two decades of international experience in commercial strategy, market development and business growth to help position the Port for continued success.<\/p>\n
