Army Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, of Carrollton, and 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, died at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base during an Iranian ballistic missile and drone attack. The incident is under investigation, according to a Department of Defense news release.<\/p>\n

An additional service member is missing in action<\/a>, according to a news statement from U.S. Central Command. Four American soldiers were medically evacuated to Jordanian hospitals and have since been released.<\/p>\n Both soldiers died supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, according to the release. The military operation is focused on defeating the Islamic State of Iraq<\/a> and the Levant. It began in 2014.<\/p>\n Gonzales enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2025 and has been a member of the 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command in Ansbach, Germany, since January 2026.
