Leona Carretta Cashion, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026, in Arlington, Texas. Carretta was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose kindness and love for her family will be remembered always. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Jay L. Cashion; an infant daughter; and three brothers. Born in June 4, 1932, Eulogy, Texas, Carretta was the daughter of the late Lawrence A. Walker and Lovella Saunders McCoy. She attended school in Eulogy, Glen Rose, and Stephenville, Texas, before moving to Fort Worth. Carretta began her career working in the City of Fort Worth Traffic Ticket Office, where she met the love of her life, Jay, a Fort Worth motorcycle police officer. She later began a career in banking, where she faithfully served for 31 years before retiring. Following her retirement, she worked at Texas Farrier Supply in Kennedale, where she formed many lasting friendships.<\/p>\n
