The San Antonio Police Department has identified the man who was fatally shot by officers and the officers involved in last week’s East Side shooting.<\/p>\n
The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. July 16 in the 800 block of Hammond Avenue near Interstate 10 and Rigsby Avenue, according to a preliminary SAPD report.<\/p>\n
Police said officers tried to stop Andrew\u00a0Davila Jr., 52, while he was riding a bicycle, but he refused and rode away. According to SAPD, officers pursued Davila, who then pulled out a gun and pointed it at several officers.<\/p>\n
