ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung left Tuesday night’s game against the Chicago White Sox because of left calf tightness.

Jung, the team’s leading hitter with a .294 average, was replaced in the field in the top of the fourth inning. Jung had a two-out single in the third, then appeared slow going from first to third base on a single by Brandon Nimmo. Jung did finish the inning, scoring on a double by Jake Burger.

The Rangers before the game placed catcher Kyle Higashioka on the 10-day injured list with right flexor strain, and put right-handed pitcher Jose Corniell on the 15-day list with the same injury.

Texas brought up left-handed pitcher Marco Gonzales and catcher Austin Wynns from Triple-A Round Rock.

Left-hander Jalen Beeks, who will miss the rest of the season because of surgery for a flexor tendon strain, was transferred to the 60-day IL.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung left Tuesday night’s game against the Chicago White…

[13
150,152,151,99552,32775,39086,81195,123036,39085,77366,63568,202,196,942,134822
post-381813","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-arlington","tag-arlington","tag-arlington-headlines","tag-arlington-news","tag-austin-wynns","tag-brandon-nimmo","tag-jake-burger","tag-jalen-beeks","tag-jose-corniell","tag-josh-jung","tag-kyle-higashioka","tag-marco-gonzales","tag-package-100502-member-choice-sports-option","tag-product-30599-ap-sports-news-s-wire-only","tag-product-40815-ap-texas-sports-only","tag-rangers-injuries-jung-higashioka
["GET
