Missouri Task Force 1 will reposition to San Antonio Wednesday as Tropical Storm Bertha moves across the Gulf region, according to a news release Tuesday night.<\/p>\n
The task force recently completed its mission supporting operations along the Rio Grande, where members provided specialized water rescue resources, monitored river conditions and worked with local emergency management officials and partner agencies.<\/p>\n
Task Force 1 leaves South Texas Wednesday morning and is expected to arrive in the San Antonio area early Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
The team will stage alongside other emergency response resources while continuing training and operational preparations.<\/p>\n
The release says the repositioning allows the task force to remain ready for a rapid response if additional missions are needed as weather conditions develop.<\/p>\n
