Houston police are investigating after a body was recovered from Brays Bayou in southeast Houston Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n
According to the Houston Fire Department and Houston Police Department, crews were called around 7:05 a.m. to the 4500 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard after someone reported seeing a body floating in the water.<\/p>\n
Emergency responders recovered the body and pronounced the person dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Authorities have not released the person\u2019s identity or said how long the body had been in the bayou. The cause and manner of death remain under investigation.<\/p>\n
The discovery comes just days after homicide investigators responded to the same general area.<\/p>\n
On Monday, officers were called to the 7200 block of J.W. Peavy Drive after a person was found unconscious near Brays Bayou. That victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Houston Police Department\u2019s Homicide Division launched an investigation. <\/p>\n
At this time, investigators have not said whether Wednesday\u2019s body recovery is connected to Monday\u2019s homicide investigation.<\/p>\n
