Corpus Christi police have arrested a 34-year-old man on a murder warrant in connection with a fatal stabbing that happened on 18th Street last week.<\/p>\n

An update to a fatal stabbing from last week that happened along the 1700 block of 18th Street. Police say one man has been arrested as the case remains under investigation.<\/p>\n

The Corpus Christi Police Department says Jerry Lee Alvarez, 34, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the stabbing of Jose Davila, 56, around 9:45 p.m. last Thursday after officers received a report of a stabbing.<\/p>\n

CCPD officers found Davila with stab wounds and administered first aid until paramedics arrived on scene.<\/p>\n

Less than a week later, police announced the arrest of Alvarez and say he was taken to CCPD headquarters for questioning before being booked into the City Detention Center.<\/p>\n

Police say the victim and the suspect know each other and are calling this an isolated incident.
