Hutson requested a judge grant him a fifth year of eligibility to suit up this fall.<\/p>\n<p>Hutson appeared in 48 games and made 23 starts with Texas from 2022-25. He went undrafted this year and was invited to the Cowboys&#8217; rookie minicamp, but after going through the NFL draft process he is seeking a return to college football.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/news\/former-texas-ol-cole-hutson-granted-tro-against-ncaa-in-age-based-eligibility-lawsuit\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">On3&#8217;s Pete Nakos reported<\/a> Hutson does not yet have a school to play for this fall but a return to Texas is not off the table.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCole\u2019s a guy with a lot of experience, played a lot of football for us. He\u2019s a guy that unfortunately didn\u2019t get drafted, so he puts himself in a bit of a different situation than maybe most guys that got done playing their fourth year in college.
