Houston-area residents may be visiting local drive-thru restaurants Friday to celebrate National Drive-Thru Day.<\/a><\/p>\n

Texas is home to many drive-thru restaurants, and fast-food chains continue to expand across the region.<\/p>\n

Here\u00a0are some Greater Houston restaurants planning to open new locations, based on previous reporting and Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation records<\/a>.<\/p>\n

HumblePopeyes\"Exterior<\/p>\n

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen plans to open a new restaurant in Humble’s Woodland Hills area, according to recent TDLR records.<\/p>\n

The location at 15705 Woodland Hills Drive will be more than 2,000 square feet. Construction is expected to begin Oct. 1, 2026, and be completed by April 1, 2027.<\/p>\n

Dave’s Hot Chicken\"Dave's<\/p>\n

Dave’s Hot Chicken will open its fourth in the Houston area, at 2525 Rice on Feb. 25. (Dave’s Hot Chicken)<\/p>\n

Dave’s Hot Chicken also plans to open in Humble. The Las Vegas-based chain, backed by rapper Drake, is continuing its Texas expansion.<\/p>\n

The restaurant will be at 15936 Woodland Hills Drive. Construction is expected to begin July 31, 2026, and be completed by Oct. 31, 2026, according to TDLR records.<\/p>\n

KatyTaco Bell\"In<\/p>\n

Taco Bell plans to open a new location in the growing Katy Park area. The restaurant will be at 3087 Katy Hockley Cut Off Road.<\/p>\n

TDLR records show the $1.5 million project is expected to begin Aug. 31, 2026, and be completed by Dec. 15, 2026.<\/p>\n

SpringCulver’s\"Popular<\/p>\n

Culver’s is continuing its Texas expansion with a new location in Spring at 18603 Kuykendahl Road.<\/p>\n

The Wisconsin-based chain is known for its ButterBurgers and frozen custard. Construction is expected to begin in September 2026 and be completed in September 2027.<\/p>\n

Manvel\u00a0Manvel Town Center\"Rendering<\/p>\n

Manvel Town Center’s new 273-acre commercial district<\/a> will include not only a Lowe’s and a 108,000-square-foot H-E-B, but also several proposed restaurants.<\/p>\n

Illinois-based Portillo’s, In-N-Out and Chick-fil-A are among the restaurants planned for the district, according to previous reporting.<\/p>\n

If In-N-Out opens in the development near Texas 288 and Texas 6, it would be the chain’s sixth Houston-area location.<\/p>\n
