Under this special program, the shelter is available for adopted youth ages 11-17, for up to 10 days.<\/p>\n<p>The Youth Shelter at El Paso Center for Children provides fun activities, counseling, therapeutic support, meals and personal care, financial and grocery budgeting, and much more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur arrangement with the Heart Gallery allows adoptive parents and their pre-teens and teens to have a mini-vacation away from each other to reset and recharge,\u201d said Beth Senger, El Paso Center for Children CEO.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur team can even help with transportation to and from school and sports, and help with homework and job applications,\u201d Senger said.<\/p>\n<p>The Center is partnering with the Heart Gallery, the Child Guidance Center, and Court Appointed Special Advocates for this free service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdoption has its own unique challenges,\u201d Senger said. \u201cWe want parents and youth to use our shelter as a resource to help make their family journey successful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El Paso Center for Children\u2019s Youth Shelter continues to serve all youth ages 11-17 for up to 21 days. Services are \u201call free, all the time,\u201d and include peer groups, mentoring, shelter, housing, counseling, and more.
