While details submitted to the TDLR are subject to change, the project spans 74,312 square feet, with construction expected to run from September through January 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The expansion includes remodeling the interior of an existing shell building to create office, production and break room space.\u00a0Foxconn did not immediately respond to Chron&#8217;s request for comment on whether the facility will manufacture products for Apple.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In December,\u00a0Q-Edge sought federal authorization to manufacture electronics including servers, computers and motherboards at its Houston facility, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2025\/12\/31\/2025-24068\/foreign-trade-zone-ftz-84-notification-of-proposed-production-activity-q-edge-corporation\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">according to a notice with the Foreign-Trade Zones Board<\/a>.
