After multiple reader requests to find an affordable breakfast burrito, I think I found a pretty monstrous deal.<\/p>\n

I saw one of my favorite DFW foodies, Kristi Keith of Blondes Who Eat, post about a tortilleria in Fort Worth<\/a> with a massive breakfast burrito. Keith regularly reviews breakfast burritos and is a certified critic.. Once she took a bite of this Fort Worth breakfast burrito, her eyes went big as she said, “Mmmm! It’s great even without sauce!”<\/p>\n

But what struck me more was her caption, which read: “Chorizo + egg + cheese + beans = $6.80!!”<\/p>\n

So on Wednesday morning I found myself at La Nueva De Zacatecas<\/a> on McCart Avenue for a $7 breakfast burrito that had raving reviews.<\/p>\n

When you walk in, the smell of fresh tortillas hits you. Their ordering window looks directly into their kitchen that has a massive tortilladora.<\/p>\n

La Nueva De Zacatecas began in Zacatecas, Mexico nearly 60 years ago, when founder Don Arsenio V\u00e1zquez Mu\u00f1oz started his first tortilla shop, called La Nueva. The tortilleria came to the states with the name La Nueva De Zacatecas, and now has 10 stores across Dallas-Fort Worth.<\/p>\n

Where to find a breakfast burrito in Fort Worth On a Budget<\/p>\n

I ordered the breakfast burrito at La Nueva De Zacatecas with chorizo, eggs, beans and cheese. However, there are other meat and filling options like beef, pork and potatoes.<\/p>\n

If I hadn’t already had my morning cup of coffee, I would have considered doing the number 13 combo, which is a breakfast burrito and cup of joe for $8.09.<\/p>\n

It was not only cheap, but ginormous and tasty. The eggs are fluffy, spiced by the chorizo with melty cheese. The best part was by far the soft and pillowy flour tortilla.<\/p>\n

My final bill:<\/p>\n

Burrito Grande Desayuno: $6.80<\/p>\n

Tip was not an option, otherwise, I would have contributed 20 percent.<\/p>\n

They are all open Monday to Saturday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
