HUMBLE, Texas \u2013 Authorities have secured Deerbrook Mall after a reported shooting Saturday evening.<\/p>\n

Multiple agencies responded to the mall after getting reports of shots fired at the mall just after 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

@HCSOTexas<\/a> deputies are assisting the Humble Police Department with a reported active shooter incident at Deerbrook Mall. <\/p>\n

Officials say they found one juvenile who had been shot. He was transported to the hospital in unknown condition and is reportedly in surgery. Another juvenile suspect was detained.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are being told there is also a third party that may have been struck by a gunshot in the finger, with non-life threatening injuries there,\u201d said Humble Police Chief Kris Battenfield.<\/p>\n

Battenfield says there were three officers on-duty inside the mall when the shots were fired and they were able to respond quickly. <\/p>\n

He says the shooting itself happened on the second floor of the mall near the Foot Locker store and the food court. He didn\u2019t know the exact amount of shots that were fired, but he says it sounds like there were at least four shots fired.<\/p>\n

The Humble Police Department, the Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Harris County Pct. 4 Constable\u2019s Office, and other agencies responded to the scene.<\/p>\n

The investigation is still active.<\/p>\n
