Fort Worth police are investigating two separate officer-involved shootings that happened less than 24 hours apart, leaving two people dead in unrelated incidents.<\/p>\n
The first shooting happened just after 8 p.m. in south Fort Worth along the South Freeway.<\/p>\n
Police said officers were looking for someone with a felony warrant who was accused of tampering with an ankle monitor. Officers located the person and attempted a traffic stop, but police said the encounter turned into a pursuit.<\/p>\n
According to police, the person eventually stopped in a parking lot and pulled out what officers believed was a gun. Officers then fired their weapons, killing the person.<\/p>\n
The second shooting happened just after 6 a.m. in west Fort Worth.<\/p>\n
Police said officers responded to a domestic violence call at an apartment complex after a man reportedly broke through the front door of an apartment and was fighting with a woman.<\/p>\n
According to police, the man had a knife to his throat and walked toward officers without stopping after they gave commands. Police said officers then shot and killed him.<\/p>\n
