{"id":387586,"date":"2026-07-27T12:00:11","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T12:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/387586\/"},"modified":"2026-07-27T12:00:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T12:00:11","slug":"hisd-teacher-charged-with-improper-relationship-with-a-student","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/387586\/","title":{"rendered":"HISD teacher charged with improper relationship with a student"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Judge gavel &#8211; lightbox KPRC (Copyright 2025 by KPRC Click2Houston &#8211; All rights reserved.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">HOUSTON \u2013 A high school teacher is facing charges tonight that he had an sexual relationship with an 18-year-old female student.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">According to court documents Jesse David Sifuentes is charged with 2 counts of improper relationship with a student.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Sifuentes was an English teacher at the High School for Law and Justice when the alleged relationship took place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">In court documents, investigators say a woman came forward this year to say she was in a sexual relationship with the teacher in the 2023-24 school year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">She also stated she first met Sifuentes her junior year but that the sexual relationship didn\u2019t begin until after her 18th birthday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Jesse Sifuentes is out of jail after posting a $90,000 bond.
