Sun Life Health had announced it would stop serving the hospital Aug. 1, citing a major OB-GYN shortage. The news had raised concerns that pregnant patients could face an hourlong drive for care. Banner says physicians familiar with the hospital and community will provide around-the-clock coverage while a long-term plan is finalized.
