{"id":389270,"date":"2026-07-28T16:24:18","date_gmt":"2026-07-28T16:24:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/389270\/"},"modified":"2026-07-28T16:24:18","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T16:24:18","slug":"plano-police-investigate-fatal-accident-that-killed-one-person-on-friday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/389270\/","title":{"rendered":"Plano police investigate fatal accident that killed one person on Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Nissan Frontier and an Infiniti QX56 collided at the intersection of Mission Ridge Road and West Parker Road, killing one passenger. <\/p>\n<p>PLANO, Texas \u2014 Plano authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Friday afternoon, closing down eastbound lanes of West Parker Road.<\/p>\n<p>The crash happened at 2:40 p.m. on July 24 at the intersection of Mission Ridge Road and West Parker Road, according to the Plano Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators say a Nissan Frontier was headed westbound on West Parker Road and tried to turn southbound onto Mission Ridge Road and struck an Infiniti QX50 headed eastbound on Parker Road. Police say the driver of the Infiniti was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The occupant in the Nissan was evaluated at the scene but not taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Eastbound lanes of West Parker Road will remain closed while the scene is processed, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>The identity of the deceased will not be released pending notification of her next of kin.
