The closure will allow crews to move southbound traffic onto a temporary lane while work continues in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Several detours will be in place during the closure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Motorists traveling southbound on I-37 from the Calallen area will be directed to take the southbound SH 286 connector, exit at Morgan Avenue\u00a0and\u00a0turn left to reach the Bayfront and downtown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Drivers coming from North Beach and Portland on southbound U.S. 181 will also be routed onto southbound SH 286 before exiting at Morgan Avenue and turning left.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Those traveling northbound on SH 286 will be directed to use the Agnes\/Laredo Street exit to reach downtown and the Bayfront.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Officials said access to\u00a0Staples Street and the Uptown area will remain open during the overnight closure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time, follow posted detour signs\u00a0and\u00a0slow down in construction zones.
