{"id":390193,"date":"2026-07-29T05:33:07","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T05:33:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/390193\/"},"modified":"2026-07-29T05:33:07","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T05:33:07","slug":"road-work-projects-around-cedarview-development-to-be-completed-before-scheels-opening-cedar-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/390193\/","title":{"rendered":"Road work projects around CedarView development to be completed before Scheels opening | Cedar Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two roadwork projects around the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cedarview.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CedarView<\/a> development in north Cedar Park will be completed by late August, a news release from the city states.<\/p>\n<p>The details<\/p>\n<p>Traffic signals at the intersection of New Hope Drive and Enchanted Rock Drive will be fully live July 30, the release states.<\/p>\n<p>Work on the intersection of New Hope Drive and Main Street-Block House Drive is expected to be completed by the time <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/cedar-park\/business\/scheels-targets-an-august-opening-for-new-cedar-park-location\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Scheels opens Aug. 29<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The improvements are part of a larger project to expand New Hope Drive. Other traffic changes will continue along the roadway as crews work to expand it from four to six lanes.<\/p>\n<p>The project also introduced an innovative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cedarparktexas.gov\/1341\/New-Hope183A-Intersection-Improvements\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">intersection<\/a> at 183A Toll, which includes a traffic shift involving the left-turn lanes from 183A Toll onto New Hope Drive, and design work continues on the western segment of New Hope Drive toward Lakeline Boulevard.<\/p>\n<p>The expansion of New Hope Drive between Block House Drive and CR 180 will cost a total of $49.5 million, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2024025238\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">state filings<\/a>. The project is expected to be completed in spring 2027, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/https:\/\/www.cedarparktexas.gov\/167\/City-Projects\" rel=\"nofollow\">the city\u2019s projects dashboard<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some context<\/p>\n<p>Scheels will be the second-largest retail tenant in the development anchored by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfm.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NFM<\/a>, formerly Nebraska Furniture Mart. Other tenants that have been announced include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marriott.com\/default.mi\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marriott<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jalexanders.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">J. Alexander\u2019s<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.haywirerestaurant.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Haywire<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Scheels representatives announced that the company will host a grand opening at its Cedar Park location Aug. 29.
