{"id":390439,"date":"2026-07-29T10:46:13","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T10:46:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/390439\/"},"modified":"2026-07-29T10:46:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T10:46:13","slug":"fort-worth-based-american-airlines-planes-departing-again-after-temporary-global-ground-stop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/390439\/","title":{"rendered":"Fort Worth-based American Airlines planes departing again after temporary global ground stop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Officials said the ground stop was due to an ongoing IT outage.<\/p>\n<p>FORT WORTH, Texas \u2014 Fort Worth-based American Airlines has lifted a global ground stop for all of its planes Tuesday evening put in place as it dealt with an ongoing IT outage, officials say.<\/p>\n<p>The ground stop advisory was issued by the Federal Aviation Administration&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/nasstatus.faa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Air Traffic Control System Command Center.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a statement posted on X, the airline said a technology issue briefly affected its connectivity for some systems, and that systems are coming back online now and flights are departing again.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We put a temporary ground stop in place while our teams worked to resolve the issue,&#8221; the statement reads. &#8220;We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A technology issue briefly impacted connectivity for some of our systems on Tuesday evening.
