A San Antonio-area resident is ending this summer as a millionaire. The Texas Lottery announced on Tuesday, July 28, that a person living north of the city snagged a top-prize ticket<\/a> after purchasing it at a popular gas station.<\/p>\n

The lucky winner lives in Seguin, about 40 minutes from San Antonio. However, they purchased the winning card at a Circle K in Corpus Christi, possibly during a beach vacation. The gas station is located at 6330\u00a0McArdle Road, according to a press release.<\/p>\n

The convenience store could also benefit from the Seguin native’s good fortune. Through the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program<\/a>, the store may now be eligible for a $10,000 bonus for selling the card.<\/p>\n

Like many winners who receive a cash reward, the claimant has asked to remain anonymous, according to the release. The player secured the rare win after playing 200X The Cash, a game that awards only four $1 million prizes out of roughly 8 million cards printed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Three more cards with $1 million prizes remain somewhere in Texas. Overall, 200X The Cash offers $115 million in prizes. However, the likelihood of winning isn’t high. The overall odds of winning anything in the game are one in 3.41, according to the Texas Lottery.<\/p>\n

The announcement comes amid the search for a $1 million Powerball winner, who has yet to claim their prize after purchasing a ticket at another Circle K located in Austin. The address is\u00a0 6107 W. Parmer Lane.<\/p>\n

Officials say<\/a> the ticket matched all five white ball numbers drawn on Monday, February 2 (3-8-31-60-65) but not the red Powerball number (4). The ticket will expire on Saturday, Aug. 1, if it is not validated.<\/p>\n
