Deputies unharmed after shots fired during tense standoff<\/p>\n

HOUSTON \u2013 Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office deputies were fired upon by a teenage suspect Tuesday evening while responding to a family disturbance call on the west side of Houston.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on July 29, 2026, at a complex located at 14906 Westpark Drive. Deputies were called to the scene in reference to a family disturbance with a weapon involved.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, a male teen \u2014 believed to be approximately 17 years old \u2014 fired shots at the responding deputies. No deputies were reported injured. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody.<\/p>\n

No additional agencies were involved in handling the incident.<\/p>\n
