PROSPER \u2014 Thanks to a season-high five passing touchdowns from senior quarterback Braeden Imhoff, Prosper held off a pesky Plano West squad, finishing with 35 unanswered points in a 62-28 win at Children’s Health Stadium on Thursday. <\/p>\n
Imhoff was 16-of-18 passing for 319 yards, his fifth game this season to throw for 300 or more yards for Prosper (9-1, 7-1 District 6-6A).<\/p>\n
Prosper senior running back Bryce Robinson ran for 114 yards with two touchdowns, his seventh game with 100 or more yards this season, and had a receiving touchdown. Prosper senior receiver Lathon Latiolais, a Tulsa commit, had four catches for 103 yards and a score in his seventh game with 100 or more receiving yards. <\/p>\n
Plano West (5-4, 4-4), which was eliminated from playoff contention with the loss, led 14-13 at halftime and 28-27 after three quarters in a game that had seven lead changes. Senior quarterback Jordan Grant threw for 92 yards and rushed for 93 more with three touchdowns. Senior running back Tobi Adeoye finished with 106 all-purpose yards (91 rushing, 15 receiving) and a touchdown. <\/p>\n
Things started going south for West on its opening drive of the fourth quarter when it fumbled deep in Prosper territory, the first turnover of the game for either team. Prosper converted five plays later to take the lead for good on Robinson’s 34-yard run with 10:23 remaining to make it 35-28. Prosper added a 46-yard interception return for a touchdown from junior defensive back Fahd Allan and also scored after another West interception, giving Prosper 21 points off turnovers. <\/p>\n
