Fort Worth police have arrested two men in connection to the June 16 shooting death of a 26-year-old man, according to online police records.<\/p>\n
Marquette Harmon, 41, and Quinton Robinson, 18, each face murder charges in the death of Byron DaCameron Cherry, according to the records.<\/p>\n
Officers responded to the emergency room of John Peter Smith Hospital at about 11:50 p.m. on June 16 after learning that a shooting victim, later identified as Cherry, had been brought in with two gunshot wounds to the upper torso, the Star-Telegram previously reported.<\/p>\n
An online obituary<\/a> described Cherry as someone with \u201ca bright smile that could ignite a room and a laugh so genuine it invited everyone around him to join in joy.\u201c<\/p>\n A police report indicates that the shooting occurred in the 1300 block of East Baltimore Avenue.<\/p>\n Investigators recovered numerous pieces of evidence, including pieces of clothing, fired shell casings, DNA swabs and bullet fragments collected from Cherry\u2019s body, according to the report.<\/p>\n Fort Worth police did not immediately provide copies of affidavits supporting the suspects\u2019 arrests.<\/p>\n The suspects were arrested on Tuesday, according to jail records.<\/p>\n Harmon is being held in the Tarrant County Jail<\/a> with bond set at over $1 million.
