EL PASO, Texas (KFOX 14, CBS4) \u2014 The Albuquerque Isotopes scored nine runs in the final two innings to defeat the El Paso Chihuahuas 16-10 at Southwest University Park on Thursday. <\/p>\n
Albuquerque has now won the opening three games of the series and move to 52-53. El Paso falls to 42-60. <\/p>\n
Dustin Harris gave the Chihuahuas the perfect start hitting a lead off home run in the bottom of the first inning. El Paso continued the fast start and racked up a 6-1 lead in the second inning. In the third, the Isotopes got back in it with a four run inning. Then in the eighth, Albuquerque scored five runs to take a 12-9 lead. They would pile on four more in the ninth to cap off the 16-10. <\/p>\n
For El Paso, Jagger Haynes pitched 2.2 innings and gave up five earned runs. Johan Moreno took the loss after pitching 0.2 innings and giving up five earned runs. <\/p>\n
Padres top prospect Ethan Salas made his first AAA start at catcher. Salas went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. <\/p>\n
Carlos Rodriguez went 4 for 5 with 2 RBIs. <\/p>\n
For Albuquerque, Victor Juarez was awarded the win for pitching 2.0 innings and giving up just one run. <\/p>\n
Charlie Condon went 2 for 5 with 2 RBIs. <\/p>\n
