Two farm storage buildings were deemed a total loss and a firefighter suffered a minor injury in a fire along Galena Road in the Plano area<\/a> on Thursday, July 30.<\/p>\n

The Little Rock-Fox<\/a> Fire Protection District said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.<\/p>\n

Crews arrived around 8:15 p.m. on July 30 to the 12000 block near Jeter Road and Galena Road. <\/p>\n

The fire district said water shuttle operations were used to combat the fire because the rural area did not have hydrants with water. <\/p>\n

The buildings were used as a hay barn and a pole barn to house farm equipment, the fire district said.<\/p>\n

No injuries to any residents were reported. Some farming equipment was destroyed in the fire.<\/p>\n

The firefighter who suffered a minor injury was treated at the scene, according to the fire district.<\/p>\n

Crews remained at the scene for around four hours. The Little Rock-Fox<\/a> Fire District received assistance at the scene from other Kendall County<\/a> fire agencies.<\/p>\n
