The company will be required to invest at least $10 million on property improvements at its new 54,498-square-foot office space and regularly operate there by the end of December 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDaisy Brand has been a respected leader in the dairy industry for more than a century, and we\u2019re honored they\u2019ve chosen Plano for their headquarters,\u201d Mayor John Muns said in a statement. \u201cOur talented workforce, exceptional quality of life and business-friendly environment continue to attract leading companies. We look forward to building a strong partnership and supporting Daisy Brand\u2019s future success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The $500,000 incentive from the city comes from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planotexas.org\/economic-development-grants\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Plano\u2019s Economic Development Fund<\/a>, which provides grants to promote economic development in the city. Funds are collected from a portion of the city\u2019s property taxes approved in 2006, according to the city.<\/p>\n<p>The background<\/p>\n<p>Daisy Brand is a nationwide, dairy-based condiment company with sour cream and cottage cheese products according to its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.daisybrand.com\/food-service\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>. It was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.daisybrand.com\/our-story\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">founded<\/a> in 1917 in Chicago before it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.daisybrand.com\/Careers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">relocated<\/a> its headquarters to Dallas in 1975.<\/p>\n<p>Daisy Brand also has a processing facility in Garland for packaging.
