According to dispatch audio, obtained by CBS News Texas from the <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/m.economictimes.com\/topic\/plano-police-department\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Plano Police Department<\/a>, officers responded to the Plano apartment at around 11:40 PM on Wednesday linked to Kneeland after receiving a call about a disturbing text message he had sent.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re getting a call from a friend of the resident, they just received a text from him, a group text, from him saying &#8216;goodbye&#8217;. They are concerned for his welfare,&#8221; the dispatcher said as quoted by CBS News.<\/p>\n<p>The former <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/m.economictimes.com\/topic\/western-michigan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Western Michigan<\/a> standout was in his second season with the <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/m.economictimes.com\/topic\/dallas-cowboys\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Dallas Cowboys<\/a>.
