{"id":394574,"date":"2026-08-01T08:17:22","date_gmt":"2026-08-01T08:17:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/394574\/"},"modified":"2026-08-01T08:17:22","modified_gmt":"2026-08-01T08:17:22","slug":"texas-man-dies-at-lake-eufala-after-jumping-from-boat-ohp-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/394574\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas man dies at Lake Eufala after jumping from boat, OHP says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            EUFAULA, Okla. &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>A Texas man died after jumping from a boat on Lake Eufaula and failing to resurface, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the incident happened around 8:19 p.m. Wednesday about 1.5 miles east of the city of Eufaula in McIntosh County.<\/p>\n<p>According to OHP, a ski boat was traveling west toward Eufaula Cove Marina at about 41 mph when 43-year-old Brandon M. Shipman of Kilgore, Texas, stood up and jumped from the boat.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers said Shipman did not resurface.
