Authorities in the Gilgit-Baltistan region say 39-year-old Sarah Mallory Geis of San Antonio was among the dead recovered Friday, along with Nepalese climber Pur Bahadur Gurung and Omani mountaineer Nadhira Alharthy, per <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/u-s-climber-among-4-dead-after-avalanche-struck-as-search-continues-for-other-missing-mountaineers-12032174\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">People<\/a>. The fourth body hasn&#8217;t yet been publicly identified.&#13;\n                                    <\/p>\n<p class=\"storyParagraph\">&#13;<br \/>\n                                        The four were part of an international team attempting Broad Peak, the world&#8217;s 12th-highest mountain, when an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newser.com\/story\/393834\/10-climbers-are-missing-on-worlds-12th-highest-mountain.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">avalanche struck<\/a> at about 21,850 feet on Thursday. In a February I<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DU_AZqJja_O\/?img_index=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">nstagram post<\/a> announcing she was closing her Pilates studio, Geis wrote that she was taking &#8220;a giant leap of faith into the unknown&#8221; and expected her future to involve &#8220;lots of helmets, harnesses, and crampons.&#8221; &#8220;The impact she made in our community will never be forgotten,&#8221; San Antonio Sports, a local group that once claimed Geis as a board member, said in a statement, per <a href=\"https:\/\/news4sanantonio.com\/news\/local\/loved-ones-mourn-san-antonio-woman-killed-in-avalanche-on-broad-peak-in-pakistan\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">News 4 San Antonio<\/a>.&#13;\n                                    <\/p>\n<p class=\"storyParagraph\">&#13;<br \/>\n                                        Officials say the group last checked in with their tour operator on Thursday morning and went silent hours before the slide, per People.
