Fort Worth (Tarrant County) \u2014 The Jane and John Justin Tower will grow taller as Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth<\/a> undergoes a major expansion focused a focus on Women\u2019s Services and other campus improvements.<\/p>\n Building on the transformative gift in 2019 that made Justin Tower a reality, the Jane & John Justin Foundation is once again playing a pivotal role in the hospital\u2019s next chapter with a naming gift for this major expansion.<\/p>\n Construction will begin soon to build four floors atop the current tower. The additional floors, 11 and 12, will house the relocated Women\u2019s Services center, including labor and delivery, nursery, dedicated operating rooms, as well as antepartum, postpartum and gynecology rooms. Floors nine and 10 will be shell space for future needs.<\/p>\n The center will be known as the Jane and John Justin Center for Women & Infants and elevate the patient experience by providing a modern healing environment that further strengthens the caliber of maternal care offered for generations.<\/p>\n Campus improvements will also include the relrelocating the\u00a0Obstetric Emergency Department\u00a0into Justin Tower with its own dedicated entrance, expanding the hospital\u2019s current neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and building out\u00a0ocation of the Obstetric Emergency Department into Justin Tower with its own dedicated entrance, expansion of the hospital\u2019s current neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and the building out of two existing but unfinished Justin Tower floors, which will add 71 patient rooms.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is more than a hospital expansion; it\u2019s an investment in the health and future of our community,\u201d said Josh Floren, chief operating officer of Texas Health\u2019s Hospital Channel. \u201cExpanding Women\u2019s Services helps support the journey of expectant mothers, gives newborns the safest possible start, and strengthens the health of families for generations to come. Adding patient rooms means families won\u2019t have to travel far for critical care but can receive the specialized treatment they deserve, right here in our community.\u201d<\/p>\n Justin Tower will remain operational during the vertical expansion, which is expected to be completed in 2029.<\/p>\n Construction is already underway to finish out the shell space on the fourth and fifth floors of Justin Tower, which will add 71 patient rooms\u00a0and include a new Surgical Trauma Progressive Care Unit.
