Less than two weeks before \u201cLandman\u201d season 2<\/a> premieres, the cast and crew returned to Fort Worth for a special event Thursday, Nov. 6.<\/p>\n

The Lone Star Film Festival hosted<\/a> a sold-out screening of the first episode of season 2 at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth on Thursday evening. A red carpet was held just outside the museum, with several of the main cast stopping by.<\/p>\n

Series star Billy Bob Thornton<\/a> said he loves being in Fort Worth, and that it\u2019s his favorite city in all the Lone Star state.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just feel home here, always have,\u201d Thornton told the Star-Telegram. \u201cI couldn\u2019t think of a better place to be if you\u2019re going to have to be somewhere for several months.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Landman\u2019 stars on shooting the show in Fort Worth<\/p>\n

\u201cLandman\u201d newcomer Sam Elliott<\/a>, who plays Thornton\u2019s father in season 2, said he\u2019s always happy to be back in Cowtown.<\/p>\n

Shooting the show here is a return for Elliott, who spent several months in the area filming the \u201cYellowstone\u201d prequel \u201c1883\u201d back in 2021. Getting to work in the city again is a \u201creal gift,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorking with Billy Bob Thornton, it doesn\u2019t get any better for another actor,\u201d Elliott said. \u201cIt\u2019s a thrill to be here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having spent so much time here, actress Michelle Randolph, who plays Ainsley Norris<\/a>, said Fort Worth feels like a \u201csecond home\u201d to her.<\/p>\n

While not shooting, Randolph said she spent a lot of time at The Shops of Clearfork this go-around. Press Cafe and Mesero are some of her favorites.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a creature of habit,\u201d Randolph said. \u201cI feel like when I find a place I like, I go back there too often.\u201d<\/p>\n

Someone who has truly spent a lot of time in Fort Worth is actor James Jordan, who plays Dale.<\/p>\n

Jordan is a Taylor Sheridan regular player, having filmed \u201cLandman\u201d in the city over the spring and summer, and returning in the fall for \u201cLioness\u201d season 3<\/a>. In total, Jordan said he spends about nine months out of the year here.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had a great time,\u201d Jordan said. \u201cThe people have been so accommodating and welcoming to allow our big show to come out here.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Landman\u2019 stars dish on their Fort Worth favorites<\/p>\n

Shooting a television show in the same place for several months gave the cast and crew plenty of time to explore their surroundings.<\/p>\n

\u201cLandman\u201d co-creator Christian Wallace<\/a> said Gustos Burger Bar + More is his favorite burger in town. For adult beverages, Nickel City and The Durty Crow and The Down N\u2019 Out are great.<\/p>\n

Panther City Vinyl and Doc\u2019s Records & Vintage are also good spots, Wallace said.<\/p>\n

Actress Paulina Ch\u00e1vez, who plays Ariana<\/a>, said 61 Osteria is her go-to for Italian food. Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar is another favorite for sushi.<\/p>\n

Jordan agreed on 61 Osteria, saying it\u2019s one of his and his wife\u2019s favorites. For barbecue, Jordan said he enjoys Hurtado and Terry Black\u2019s.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve tried nearly every restaurant in Fort Worth now, and it\u2019s got a great food scene,\u201d Jordan said. \u201cWe love it out here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thornton was quick to suggest Joe T. Garcia\u2019s as one his favorites, a place where he\u2019s been spotted<\/a> several times over the years.<\/p>\n

Hatsuyuki is another special spot, which Thornton calls \u201coff the hook.\u201d Pretty much anywhere folks go in Fort Worth, they\u2019ll find good food and drink, he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t usually go into a place in Fort Worth and say, \u2018Boy, that sucks,\u2019\u201d Thornton joked. \u201cThat usually doesn\u2019t happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLandman\u201d season 2 premieres Nov. 16 on Paramount+.<\/p>\n
