That placed Houston just ahead of New York City (117 closures) and well above other major markets like Chicago (82), San Antonio (70), and Dallas (42).<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within the broader Texas picture\u2014where the state led all states and provinces with an estimated 1,039 closures\u2014Houston\u2019s 119 closures accounted for roughly 11\u201312% of all Texas closures in the period.
