CR 279-Bagdad Road improvements<\/a><\/p>\n Project: Plans call for the realignment and reconstruction of CR\u202f279-Bagdad Road from Loop\u202f332 to CR\u202f281 at the Leander city limits, including additional lanes and a 10\u2011foot shared\u2011use path for bicyclists and pedestrians.<\/p>\n Update: Final project designs are expected to be submitted in August while utilities are being moved.<\/p>\n Timeline: early 2028-early 2030Cost: $57.3 millionFunding source: 2019 Williamson County road bond; federal funding through Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization<\/p>\n I-35 at Inner Loop interchange<\/a><\/p>\n Project: The project includes the design and construction of improvements to the interchange between SE Inner Loop and I-35 in Georgetown.<\/p>\n Update: All work for the project has been put on hold pending TxDOT advancing the design of I-35.<\/p>\n Timeline: TBDCost: TBDFunding source: Williamson County 2023 road bond<\/p>\n Pfluger Farm Lane North<\/a><\/p>\n Project: The road in Pflugerville will be widened to three lanes and extended to connect to SH 45.<\/p>\n Update: The city received a 60% design plan draft in June.<\/p>\n Timeline: TBDCost: $6.7 millionFunding source: city bond funds, roadway impact fees<\/p>\n Ongoing projects<\/p>\n Oak Hill Parkway<\/a><\/p>\n Project: The Texas Department of Transportation is currently reconstructing Hwy. 290 in Oak Hill, transforming the existing four-lane, undivided roadway to a six-lane divided highway with new frontage roads and 14 miles of shared-use paths.<\/p>\n Update: As of July, drivers can now travel on newly opened mainlanes, frontage roads and ramps. Drivers can expect ongoing painting, landscaping, asphalt paving, striping and shared-use path improvements to cause lane closures.<\/p>\n Timeline: 2022-26 (total project)Cost: $677 million allocated for the entire projectFunding source: TxDOT<\/p>\n
