The plan was adopted in November 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The changes are designed to improve connections to neighborhoods, jobs, schools, healthcare and shopping.<\/p>\n<p>New and redesigned routes<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Route 205 (Pink) is a new route extending from North Indiana through Texas Tech University and Covenant to South Quaker and 122nd Street, expanding service to South Lubbock.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Route 025 (Purple), formerly Route 6, has been redesigned to better connect Parkway Drive, Dunbar, 50th Street and South Plains Mall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Route 211 (Green) has been redesigned to connect Cherry Point to West End via 4th Street with improved connectivity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Route 214 (Red) links Sunrise Canyon, 19th Street and West End with a more direct travel option.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Phase One of 5-year service plan introduces one new route and three redesigned routes across...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/QQTSSV27DJEY5FSDZGG2GXFLOI.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Phase One of 5-year service plan introduces one new route and three redesigned routes across Lubbock(KCBD Staff)Community education events<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Citibus will host a series of community education events ahead of the Sept. 28 launch.
