Video shows moment crashing car comes within inches of officer conducting traffic stop<\/p>\n

An officer in Texas was nearly struck by a car while he had another driver pulled over on the side of a highway.<\/p>\n

See the scary moment in the video above.<\/p>\n

The El Paso Police Department posted a bodycam video<\/a> of the incident as a warning to drivers to be aware of their surroundings.<\/p>\n

The officer was shown conducting a routine traffic stop when an accused distracted driver smashed into the back of the pulled-over vehicle while going at a high rate of speed.<\/p>\n

The stopped vehicle was pushed about 500 feet down the highway.<\/p>\n

Both the officer and the struck driver were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
