{"id":397672,"date":"2026-08-04T19:54:07","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T19:54:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/397672\/"},"modified":"2026-08-04T19:54:07","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T19:54:07","slug":"medical-examiner-identifies-concepcion-park-remains-as-missing-infant-ozana-cisneros","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/397672\/","title":{"rendered":"Medical examiner identifies Concepcion Park remains as missing infant Ozana Cisneros"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN ANTONIO &#8211; The Bexar County Medical Examiner&#8217;s Office has confirmed that skeletal remains discovered near Concepcion Park last month are those of 7-month-old Ozana Cisneros, the infant at the center of a statewide search.<\/p>\n<p>The remains were found on the night of July 10, hours after Ozana&#8217;s mother, 19-year-old Maximina Cisneros, was rescued from a vacant home near the park.<\/p>\n<p>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/news4sanantonio.com\/news\/local\/amber-alert-for-missing-7-month-old-ozana-cisneros-discontinued-by-texas-dps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Amber Alert for missing 7-month-old Ozana Cisneros discontinued by Texas DPS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>At the time, investigators had not confirmed whether the remains were human or connected to the missing infant. The Bexar County Medical Examiner has now positively identified the remains as Ozana&#8217;s. Her cause and manner of death has not been released at this time. <\/p>\n<p>The Texas Department of Public Safety discontinued the Amber Alert for Ozana on July 13.<\/p>\n<p>The infant was last seen by family members on June 10 at a home off Roosevelt Avenue near Lowell Street. Authorities said she was last seen with her mother, who had not been seen since July 3 before she was found by officers and federal agents inside the abandoned home.<\/p>\n<p>During the investigation, the mother&#8217;s boyfriend, Isaiah Lopez, was arrested on an unrelated charge after police said he attempted to flee from officers. Authorities also found a firearm during his arrest.
