{"id":397923,"date":"2026-08-05T01:46:38","date_gmt":"2026-08-05T01:46:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/397923\/"},"modified":"2026-08-05T01:46:38","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T01:46:38","slug":"arches-installed-over-richardsons-us-75-dart-bridge-lighting-additions-underway-richardson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/397923\/","title":{"rendered":"Arches installed over Richardson\u2019s US 75 DART bridge, lighting additions underway | Richardson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two steel arches were <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/richardson\/transportation\/nighttime-us-75-closures-planned-in-richardson-during-dart-bridge-arch-installation\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">installed<\/a> over US 75 in Richardson as part of Dallas Area Rapid Transit\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/richardson\/transportation\/arches-set-for-summer-installation-over-us-75-on-richardsons-silver-line-bridge\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Silver Line bridge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The final arch was completed July 27, but lighting installation will be ongoing over the next two months, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/richardsontoday.com\/silver-line-bridge-arches-installed\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">news release<\/a> from the city.<\/p>\n<p>The gist<\/p>\n<p>DART\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/dallas-fort-worth\/richardson\/transportation\/2025\/11\/28\/silver-line-connects-riders-from-plano-richardson-to-dfw-airport\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Silver Line<\/a> began rail service in October 2025, with a route that included a bridge passing over US 75 in Richardson.<\/p>\n<p>Two 400-foot decorative steel arches were added to the bridge this summer to create what mobility program manager Daniel Herrig called a \u201cvisual gateway\u201d into Richardson. The arches span up to 80 feet over US 75 alongside the Silver Line bridge, located just south of President George Bush Turnpike.<\/p>\n<p>Over the next two months, blue and white accent lighting will be installed on the arches and their concrete columns.
