{"id":399221,"date":"2026-08-06T11:48:13","date_gmt":"2026-08-06T11:48:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/399221\/"},"modified":"2026-08-06T11:48:13","modified_gmt":"2026-08-06T11:48:13","slug":"ridgmar-mall-in-fort-worth-to-become-logistics-center-buyer-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/399221\/","title":{"rendered":"Ridgmar Mall in Fort Worth to become logistics center, buyer says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fort Worth\u2019s Ridgmar Mall, once one of the city\u2019s most popular shopping centers, is set to transform into a 930,960-square-foot logistics center.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes as Ramrock Real Estate LLC, a Dallas-based real estate investment firm, announced the purchase of the property on Wednesday, Aug. 5, and plans to turn it into the Ridgmar 30 Logistics Crossing.<\/p>\n<p>The logistics center would be a six-building development located at the northeast corner of Interstate 30 and Texas 183.<\/p>\n<p>The project, according to a press release, will turn a \u201clong-vacant mall\u201d into an \u201cinstitutional-quality logistics campus in one of North Texas\u2019 fastest growing corridors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ramrock, according to the press release, will partner with KBC Advisors and Lincoln Property Company on the project.<\/p>\n<p>The press release does not specify details about when the mall would fully close. There are still some stores operating inside the mall.<\/p>\n<p>The mall\u2019s JCPenney, one of its last anchor stores, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/news\/business\/fort-worth\/article316539612.html\">announced its planned closure in November<\/a> after an employee broke the news on Facebook earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Macy\u2019s closed its location there in 2016 as part of a group of 40 stores that closed nationwide. Later, Sears and Neiman Marcus shuttered.<\/p>\n<p>Dillard\u2019s remains as the last large store that opened with the mall in 1976.
