A day to reflect on, honor and express appreciation for the sacrifices and contributions of the World War II generation. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">&#8211; When: Sunday, August 9, 2026, 1:00 p.m. &#8211; 5:00 p.m. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">&#8211; Where: Silent Wings Museum, 6202 N. I-27<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">&#8211; Admission: Free<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Join the Museum Curator for a detailed discussion exploring the significance of the medals and decorations earned by pilots. Honor the men who flew the CG-4A gliders on missions behind enemy lines, as well as the Home Front heroes who made their service possible.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The museum will offer presentations all afternoon.
