{"id":399831,"date":"2026-08-07T01:42:23","date_gmt":"2026-08-07T01:42:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/399831\/"},"modified":"2026-08-07T01:42:23","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T01:42:23","slug":"i-30-temporary-ramp-opens-at-sh-205-on-friday-local-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/399831\/","title":{"rendered":"I-30 temporary ramp opens at SH 205 on Friday | Local News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ROCKWALL COUNTY \u2013 Weather permitting, the following changes are scheduled for the eastbound Interstate 30 off-ramp to State Highway 205 in Rockwall as part of an ongoing widening project:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 The current eastbound I-30 off-ramp to SH 205 will be closed starting at 9 p.m. on Thursday while the ramp access is shifted to a new location.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 After 5 a.m. on Friday, a new temporary ramp for eastbound I-30 traffic exiting to SH 205 will open a mile west at Exit 67C while a permanent ramp is constructed at this same location.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers should use caution as traffic adjusts and follow new exit signage.<\/p>\n<p>As progress continues, check <a href=\"http:\/\/drivetexas.org\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">drivetexas.org<\/a> for daily lane closures. Any major scheduled closures will be announced in advance, and there is an option to sign up for text alerts.<\/p>\n<p>The work being done is part of the $348 million I-30 corridor expansion project with crews widening I-30 and adding continuous frontage roads from SH 205 to the Hunt County line.<\/p>\n<p>The overall project is expected to be complete by early 2028.
