{"id":399935,"date":"2026-08-07T04:32:39","date_gmt":"2026-08-07T04:32:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/399935\/"},"modified":"2026-08-07T04:32:39","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T04:32:39","slug":"texas-dps-1-dead-2-injured-after-crash-in-dallam-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/399935\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas DPS: 1 dead, 2 injured after crash in Dallam County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">DALLAM COUNTY, Texas (KFDA) &#8211; Texas DPS officials say one man is dead and two people are injured after a crash in Dallam County Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">DPS says the crash happened around 1:40 p.m. on U.S. 385 north of Dalhart. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the initial investigation, a Chevrolet Silverado was exiting a private driveway. It turned south onto U.S. 385 and failed to yield the right of way.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A cement truck was driving northbound and struck the Chevrolet on the driver\u2019s side.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">DPS says the driver of the Chevrolet, 24-year-old Mauricio Montes De Oca of Dalhart, died at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The passenger of the Chevrolet and driver of the cement truck were both taken to an Amarillo hospital with serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The crash remains under investigation. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KFDA.
